Choosing the correct size is crucial for a perfect fit. For an INSIDE MOUNT, the Order Width should be Window Width-0.5", with a Shade Height suitable for H <72" and a Window Depth of D>=2.6". For an OUTSIDE MOUNT, the Window Width +4" should equal the Order Width, and the Window Height should match the Blind Height. Please note that the fabric width will be 1.2" shorter than the size of the valance. If you do not want both sides to transmit light, an outside mount is recommended.
